“Inside every problem lies an opportunity", say Aayushi Agarwal and Aru Mangla, who were college students in Delhi when the hazardous air quality in winter months compelled them to find a solution.

Identifying stubble as a potential source of clean energy, they decided to solve the issue with sustainable technology solutions and founded their startup RY Energies.
Today, they run a professional biomass supply chain service that work through 3 simple steps:
1) Source crop residue, like paddy straw, from farms
2) Process it into a standardised, good quality biomass resource
3) Supply this to be used as a fuel or raw material in power plants and industries, thereby preventing stubble burning.
The impact is already becoming significant. The duo has been able to enable the generation of over 1,085 MWh of renewable energy units and reduce harmful carbon emissions by over 5,00,000 kg.

#WingifyEarth encourages such proactive actions to safeguard Delhi’s trees and keep them clean.
