#Punjab farmer Sukbir Singh Dhaliwal, has been scripting a success story in #sustainability with his startup that converts crop waste into carbon-neutral fuel for industries.

Dhaliwal and some of his friends began the start-up, Farm2Energy, in 2016 to convert paddy stubble into bio-coal. Bio-coal is a carbon-neutral fuel that can replace ordinary coal in industrial processes.

"Like many farmers, I too was burning #stubble post-harvest. But realising environmental hazards, we started this company. It is a new industry, which has a huge potential, apart from making the environment clean and green", claims Dhaliwal.

In the last few years, the #startup has also set up a biopellet-making factory in Punjab.

“Not only paddy residue, our unit processes paddy straw, corn stover, sugarcane trash and wheat straw and supplies it to biofuel, bio-power and bio-based industries. We also help farmers in managing biomass,” says Dhaliwal.

#WingifyEarth encourages such proactive actions to safeguard Delhi’s trees and keep them clean.
