“EVs won’t be a solution to pollution unless the electricity generated is clean.” Maxson and his nephew Darryl’s startup ‘Magenta’ scripted history in the clean and renewable energy space with its various projects.
The duo launched a solar charging station, followed by a solar-powered EV charging corridor ‘ChargeIn’ on the Mumbai-Pune highway. Today, they have close to 2,000 EV charging stations in India.
Magenta’s latest innovation, the streetlamp electric vehicle charger, is in-built with a power-saving LED lamp. It offers charging from within a streetlight. They will also soon launch the world’s smallest EV charger, which will be a “defining moment in the history of EVs”. They claim its size will be similar to a mobile phone’s box.
#WingifyEarth encourages such proactive actions to safeguard the environment and keep them clean.
