Pen It Down

Concept Overview

Air pollution is the contamination of the atmosphere with abnormal concentrations of substances that are harmful to human and other organisms' health. Sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, etc., are common air pollutants. Air pollution is a primary environmental concern because it can cause various diseases in humans, some of which are fatal. As a result, preventing air pollution is critical. Air pollution is also known to harm multiple life forms, including crops and animals.

We can reduce it by reducing the amount of fuel combusted for an individual’s transportation needs and using Public Transport. Another way is to Switch off the lights when they’re not in use as most of our electricity is produced from the combustion of fossil fuels, which significantly contribute to air pollution. We can avoid the burning of garbage and smoking and also prevent the use of firecrackers.
