This competition is based on the theme of Green Cities.
Concept Overview
The Green City is a city that is "in balance with nature," with all forms of nature—from living organisms to their habitats—playing an important role in the urban form and green infrastructure. All forms of nature are respected, preserved, and enlarged to benefit local citizens in a Green City. Urban nature is an ideal service provider and a key concept for urban planning. Almost all urban spaces are home to urban nature, either at random ("wild") or as a result of human decisions (e.g., trees, plantations). These areas either are actively used (for example, parks, gardens, urban forests, and so on) or have been abandoned from prior use (e.g., wetlands and forests). Urban green infrastructure can be defined as a network of all urban natural elements that are either close to nature or designed green space. Thus, the concept of urban green infrastructure serves as a model for strategic and integrated urban nature planning, protection, development, and management. This necessitates the use of city-wide, district-based, and object-based spatial concepts.
Participants must register online. Only five entries from each group are allowed; successful entries must make a model of a Green city with the waste materials. A video explaining model is to be uploaded on the drive, and the link must be shared in the submission form. The winning team will get certificates and a personality development book.
The goal is to build the child's creativity skills and make them understand the concept of Green Cities.
